• Full-time Overview Surad Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated First Grade Teacher to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Montessori methods and a strong commitment to mastery-based education. This role involves creating and implementing engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students, fostering an environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an elementary curriculum based on Montessori principles and mastery-based learning. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the intellectual, social, and emotional development of each student. Use hands-on learning materials / games and activities to teach concepts. Assess students' progress regularly and provide individualized support to ensure mastery of concepts. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate learning with all subjects and school activities. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and any areas of concern.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Education, Kinesiology, or a related field. Montessori certification or experience with Montessori teaching methods. Experience with mastery-based learning and assessment. Strong classroom and activity management skills and the ability to create a safe, encouraging environment for physical activity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for promoting student wellness and a commitment to student success.
