Elite Aviation Maintenance Professional (A&P)•
Avionics & Piston Fleet Location:
Denver, CO (Relocation from the St. George, UT area welcomed)Employment Type:
Full-Time About Client This respected Denver-based general aviation facility manages a high-traffic piston aircraft lineup, including Cirrus, Cessna, and Beechcraft. The collaborative, tight-knit crew is actively expanding into turboprop and electric aviation markets, deliberately paving the way toward a Part 145 certification within a supportive, growth-driven environment.Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$32- 42/hour — Based on experience and qualifications
Relocation Assistance:
Available on a case-by-case basis (ideal for Utah talent making the move to the Rockies)Shift:
40 hours per week; adaptable 4x10 or 5x8 schedules. Overtime frequently available, with premium compensation for weekend rotations and AOG call-outs.Benefits Package:

Job Summary Trade the red rocks of southern Utah for the Rocky Mountains! Maintain a highly active general aviation piston fleet while rapidly advancing your expertise in structural modifications and modern electrical systems. Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance, this role offers hands-on avionics experience and substantial room for career progression. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and urgent maintenance across a diverse fleet of general aviation piston airplanes. Execute and sign off on annual and 100-hour inspections while strictly adhering to 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and avionics system faults with high precision. Assist in upgrading avionics suites, including the installation of autopilots, GPS units, radios, and ADS-B systems. Conduct minor airframe structural work and sheet metal repairs as dictated by aircraft condition. Utilize excellent diagnostic practices to isolate electrical and mechanical discrepancies. Reference and apply Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals. Document all completed service accurately and swiftly within the digital maintenance tracking database. Maintain an immaculate and highly organized personal workspace and hangar environment. Participate in rotational weekend coverage and respond to AOG events as part of the shop's support team. Minimum Requirements Valid and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on A&P experience maintaining GA piston aircraft. Demonstrated ability to independently complete and authorize 100-hour inspections. Competent electrical and avionics troubleshooting skills. Firm grasp of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 regulations. Must possess a basic personal set of aviation hand tools. Excellent communication skills and meticulous documentation practices. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various postures, and tolerate typical aviation chemicals and hangar noise. Ideal Qualifications Active Inspection Authorization (IA) credential. Direct experience with G1000, Avidyne, Garmin, or similar modern avionics suites. Background in airframe structural and sheet metal repair techniques. Prior maintenance experience on turboprop aircraft. Previous leadership, supervisory, or lead mechanic experience. Familiarity with high-cycle fleet operations or fast-paced flight school environments.
