Job Title Embedded Software Design & Release Engineer - Automotive Power Electronics Overview / Summary We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Design & Release Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and release of embedded software for advanced DC-DC converter systems used in next-generation automotive electrical architectures. This role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver high-quality, safety-compliant embedded software solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and release of embedded software for 48V DC-DC converter components. Translate functional, performance, diagnostic, cybersecurity, safety, and quality requirements into software specifications. Collaborate with external suppliers and internal engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Review and approve software designs, architectures, test plans, and validation reports. Ensure compliance with automotive software development standards and best practices, including ASPICE and

ISO 26262.

Monitor software development progress, track deliverables, and support adherence to project timelines. Support root cause analysis, defect resolution, and corrective action implementation. Coordinate software validation and verification activities, including bench and vehicle-level testing. Support vehicle integration and troubleshooting of software-related issues. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and cross-functional engineering activities. Stay current with emerging technologies related to automotive embedded software, power electronics, and 48V systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in embedded software development within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of automotive software development processes and standards, including ASPICE and

ISO 26262.

Experience with power electronics, DC-DC converters, and 48V vehicle architectures. Experience working with automotive suppliers on software development projects. Understanding of cybersecurity principles for automotive embedded systems. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related engineering discipline. Experience with software validation tools and methodologies. Knowledge of advanced control techniques for power converters. Familiarity with diagnostic protocols such as UDS and OBD-II. Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or JAMA.
