Not provided Join a hospital team in Hillsdale, MI to provide Emergency Department coverage on a locum tenens basis beginning July 2026 and continuing ongoing. You'll work 12-hour clinical shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) with a flexible schedule and a minimum commitment of seven shifts. What you'll be doing Provide emergency and acute care for patients of all ages in a 14-bed ED (5 ICU beds onsite). Evaluate, stabilize, and manage critically ill and trauma patients. Collaborate closely with NP/PAs (on site 11:00 AM-9:00 PM) and multidisciplinary specialty backup, including cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, general and orthopedic surgery, and vascular surgery. Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic T-Sheets EMR. Complete a roughly 12-hour onboarding that includes orientation, EMR training, and shadowing. Patient and department details Patient volume: ~53 patients/day; ~22,000 visits/year.
Case mix:
General emergency medicine with admissions expected.
Staffing:
MD/DO coverage 24/7; additional NP/PA coverage 12 hours daily. Privileges, onboarding, and credentials Hospital privileges are required; expedited temporary privileges and credentialing are available to support July start dates. DEA required. Board certification or eligibility accepted (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, or ABIM). Active Michigan medical license required. Immunization waiver will be considered. Compensation, scheduling, and logistics

Overtime:
Daily OT after 12 hours; weekly OT after 168 hours. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided. Required skills and procedures Experience in emergency medicine with competence in ED procedures, acute stabilization, critical care management, and trauma/emergency evaluations.
