Emergency Room Nurse (RN) in Gordon, GA

Schedule/Hours:

Full-time contract position Shifts may vary; orientation includes one day of facility onboarding and two days of departmental training

Desired Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience Active RN license (Georgia) Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Basic Cardiac Rhythm TNCC and National Emergency Nursing Certification preferred (not required) Proficient in managing critical drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed) Comfortable with nurse-drawn phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac rhythm interpretation Willingness to float within ER and possible travel to affiliated sites if needed Open to first-time travelers

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to a range of emergent cases including chest pain, stroke, diabetes, trauma, and mental health crises Manage patient ratios of 1:3-4 RNs, working collaboratively with LPNs and CNAs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists—available 24/7 Utilize advanced technology: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell Medication Dispensing, Philips Monitors, and emergency equipment Adhere to hospital protocols and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety at all times Participate in orientation and continuous professional development modules
