Job Duties The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) administers several federal workforce programs and oversees a network of local OhioMeansJobs centers, which provide free job training and other services for Ohioans looking for work and employers seeking workers. webpage. What You Will Do As an Employment Services Coordinator (ESC), you will be part of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult and Dislocated Worker (ADW) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Unit. This unit supports the

Program across Ohio's 20 local workforce areas. You will report directly to the
WIOA ADW
Program Supervisor. The WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker programs provide training and employment services to job seekers, while the Training and Technical Assistance Unit offers guidance, training, and support to staff in the local areas. In this role, you will focus on learning, understanding, and applying
WIOA ADW
policy, which is essential for delivering effective training and technical assistance. You will also begin developing case management skills using the state's case management system, ARIES.
Your responsibilities include:
Monitor and respond to email inquiries in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Mailbox (wioaqna@jfs.ohio.gov) Research and interpret local, state and federal policies and procedures, Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code, training webinars, and desk aides Answer incoming calls from the JFS phone system and provide appropriate assistance and information Deliver training sessions, either virtually or in person, on a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or as needed schedule Creating, updating, and improving training modules and reference materials using PowerPoint, Articulate 360, Storyline 360 Respond to legislative inquiries and program-related complaints Assist local areas with ARIES requests such as data entry, backdates, and data validation Perform other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities:
Fast‑paced, high‑volume unit with limited downtime Balance of approximately 50% collaborative work and 50% independent work Frequent reading and interpretation of local, state, and federal policies Required research into how WIOA services function within the case management system Regularly asked questions requiring varying levels of research and analysis Coordination with multiple units and offices to support training activities and respond to inquiries Preparation and delivery of training modules based on policy requirements Training needs fluctuate and may vary week to week

Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Option 2: Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Pay Information This position is in the State of Ohio's OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 31. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $27.92 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
