Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic emergency medical team as an EMT / Paramedic, where your expertise will make a vital difference in urgent and critical situations. In this role, you will provide advanced pre-hospital care, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering life-saving interventions. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellence will help us maintain the highest standards of emergency response, working closely with hospitals, fire departments, and other first responders. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to saving lives and improving patient outcomes. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical assistance on scene and during transport. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiology evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Manage airway patency using airway management techniques and equipment; administer oxygen therapy as needed. Execute critical care interventions such as medication administration, venipuncture, injection administration, and aseptic techniques with precision. Operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; handle heavy lifting and physical exertion during patient extrication or transport. Document all patient interactions thoroughly, including medical history, treatment provided, and vital signs in compliance with protocols. Collaborate with hospital staff during patient handoff at Level I Trauma Centers or other healthcare facilities to ensure seamless continuity of care. Experience Prior EMT or Paramedic experience in emergency medicine settings is required; hospital or urgent care experience is highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and physiology knowledge. Experience with critical care transport services and Level II trauma center protocols is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, DME (durable medical equipment), and aseptic techniques. Proven ability to perform airway management, medication administration, venipuncture, and physical examinations accurately. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks comfortably. $16.50 - $28.89 per hour
