Job Summary:

CAO is seeking an Energy Services Technician II (Home Inspector/Auditor) to perform audits before and after the installation of state and federally approved energy-efficiency and health/safety measures within our thirteen-county service area.

Responsibilities:

Assess residential buildings using required equipment to determine energy-efficiency and health/safety needs Document assessments in tools using assigned tablets, manual forms and photos Provide education sessions to residents, including energy saving tips and the recommended work for the home Prepare work orders which includes estimated material and labor costs based on the technical mathematical computations completed

Requirements:

Have visual acuity to operate tools and equipment Able to crawl in confined spaces and work in high places on ladders Capacity to perform heavy work exerting up to 50 force occasionally Valid NC Driver License Capacity to travel throughout thirteen-county service area Pass pre-employment background, drug and alcohol screenings Obtain related Building Performance Institute certification within nine (9) months of employment
