Job Description

Job Summary

Drives integration and design synthesis for Special Mission programs while collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering and production teams. Responsibilities include supporting system trade studies, coordinating with fabrication, assembly, MRB, quality, and supply-chain organizations, and preparing technical and administrative materials for customers and internal stakeholders. The position also provides mentoring to early-career engineers and supports cross-functional integration activities.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in airframe structure design and analysis
  • 10+ years of experience with metallic and/or composite design
  • 10+ years of experience with CATIA V5 and/or 3DX
  • Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals Preferred Skills
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Background working with LM BAs
  • Experience interacting with suppliers, external customers, and Production Operations
  • Familiarity with MRB coordination and support
  • Working knowledge of hand stress analysis
  • Experience with hypersonic boost-glide systems Job Duties & Functions
  • Drive integration and design synthesis across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, thermodynamics, electronics, controls, and actuation
  • Support multidisciplinary system trade studies to optimize performance and cost
  • Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, MRB, quality, and supply-chain teams to support production operations
  • Generate technical and administrative materials for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Present technical and administrative materials to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Mentor early-career engineers
  • Champion One-LM culture across cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on Special Mission program integration and design activities Physical Requirements & Environment
