An Aerospace Engineer designs aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft using knowledge of engineering and physics, and tests prototypes to see if they work according to design. May specialize in aeronautical design and work with airplanes and helicopters, or specialize in astronautical design and work with vehicles used in outer space. May specialize in a particular area of design, such as aerodynamic flow or navigation.
Senior Product Quality Engineer - Flight Test We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Quality Engineer to support Flight Test Operations for an innovative aerospace manufacturer developing a next-generation aircraft. You will be responsible for ensuring aircraft structures, components, assemblies and systems meet all design, quality, safety and regulatory requirements. Working closely with design, manufacturing, inspection and flight-test teams, you will support the aircraft throughout its development, production and certification lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide quality engineering support within a flightline and flight-test environment. Develop and implement electronic inspection plans using MES systems. Review engineering drawings and assess GD&T requirements to
ASME Y14.5.
Support FAA and company conformity inspections and certification activities. Lead or support MRB dispositions, root-cause investigations and CAPA. Introduce APQP tools, including PFMEAs, control plans, SPC, PPAPs and MSAs. Identify product and process risks and coordinate mitigation plans. Drive continuous improvement across flight-test operations. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to support the transition from design into production. Maintain quality records using CAD, PLM and ERP systems. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, at least five years of relevant quality engineering experience, and previous experience working within an aerospace flightline environment. Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145 or AS6500 would be beneficial. Experience with SAP, composite or aircraft assembly, FAA conformity inspections, eVTOL programmes, or Six Sigma/ASQ certification would also be advantageous.
