Yes Job Summary We are seeking experienced Electrical Design & Test Engineers to support the development, integration, testing, and deployment of automated test equipment (ATE) and electrical test systems used to test flight hardware in a highly technical aerospace and defense environment. This role combines electrical engineering, hardware design, automated test equipment, system integration, troubleshooting, and verification . The engineer will participate throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, verification, deployment, and retirement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical hardware design and testing , experience developing test equipment or test systems, and the ability to work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and leadership. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, procure, assemble, integrate, test, and verify automated test equipment (ATE) and electrical test systems Develop hardware requirements for subsystem-level and system-level test equipment Design test systems used to support testing of flight hardware Participate in requirements analysis, configuration management, design changes, material procurement, manufacturing, testing, and acceptance activities Develop electrical and electromechanical test system architectures and solutions Create and maintain detailed test system design documentation Develop electrical hardware and interconnect solutions Review and interpret schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Support system-level troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and hardware issues Perform electrical testing and electronic component testing Review and analyze test data, including data trending and performance results Support Failure Review Board (FRB) activities through issue resolution and closure Identify design deficiencies, errors, omissions, and opportunities for improvement Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal engineering/design teams Develop cost-effective, low-risk technical solutions Support manufacturing and assembly of test systems Coordinate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle Create and update project and process documentation to meet program requirements Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers Interface with customers and senior leadership Lead or coordinate small, diverse engineering teams when required Support continuous improvement of test system development and engineering processes Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent education/experience 3+ years of professional engineering experience Experience with both electrical hardware design and testing Experience developing electrical or electronic hardware Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar test systems Experience with interconnect design Experience reading electrical schematics and technical documentation Experience with issue tracking and problem resolution Experience with product lifecycle activities, including development, deployment, maintenance, and retirement Active Secret Security Clearance required U.S. Citizenship required Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience leading the development and testing of integrated test systems Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or technical lead Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP) Experience working with RF systems Aerospace and defense industry experience Experience designing test equipment for flight hardware Experience with wiring harness design Experience with electrical testing Experience with electronic component testing Experience with system-level troubleshooting Experience coordinating small, multidisciplinary engineering teams Experience working directly with customers and suppliers Experience with Creo Experience with Windchill Experience with Zuken Experience with PSpice Experience with PLM systems Experience with configuration management Experience with test fixture design and development Experience with hardware integration and verification Familiarity with AI prompting and AI tools as applied to engineering and technical workflows Technical Skills & Keywords Electrical Engineering Electrical Hardware Design Electrical Hardware Testing Test Engineering Design Engineering Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Automated Test Systems Flight Hardware Testing Aerospace Test Equipment Electrical Test Systems Electronic Component Testing Electrical Testing Hardware Integration System Integration Interconnect Design Wiring Harness Design Test Fixture Design Test System Development System-Level Troubleshooting Requirements Analysis Design Verification Hardware Verification Test & Verification RF Systems Telemetry Data Processing Schematic Reading Engineering Documentation Product Lifecycle Management Configuration Management Issue Tracking Failure Review Board Creo Windchill Zuken PSpice PLM Systems Aerospace Engineering Defense Engineering Space Systems Secret Clearance What You Will Do In this role, you will help design and build the test equipment used to test flight hardware . You will work across the engineering lifecycle, from defining requirements and developing electrical designs to procuring components, assembling equipment, performing testing and verification, analyzing data, and supporting final acceptance. You will work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, systems engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, customers, and program leadership to deliver reliable, cost-effective test solutions.
