TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to support advanced aerospace programs involving spacecraft, launch vehicles, missiles, and hypersonic systems. This role will focus on thermal analysis, modeling, and design of aerospace systems operating in challenging environments. Responsibilities Perform thermal design, analysis, and modeling for aerospace and flight systems. Analyze thermal environments for launch vehicles, spacecraft, missiles, and hypersonic platforms. Predict thermal loads, heat fluxes, heat rates, and surface temperatures. Develop and execute thermal models using industry-standard analysis tools. Support thermal protection system (TPS) development and thermal management solutions. Collaborate with structures, propulsion, aerodynamics, and systems engineering teams. Support development and improvement of thermal analysis methodologies and modeling tools. Mentor engineers in Thermal Desktop and related thermal analysis applications. Document technical findings and support design reviews and engineering presentations. Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 5+ years of aerospace thermal analysis and modeling experience. Strong understanding of conductive, convective, and radiative heat transfer. Experience supporting launch vehicles, spacecraft, missiles, aircraft, or hypersonic systems. Proficiency with one or more of the following: Thermal Desktop

SINDA/FLUINT ANSYS FIAT COMSOL

Sentry Experience with CAD platforms such as: SolidWorks Siemens

NX CATIA

Creo Solid Edge Experience with multidisciplinary analysis using MATLAB, Python, and/or Julia. Strong communication and technical documentation skills. U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with thermal protection systems and hypersonic vehicle design. Familiarity with aerospace, military, and government thermal analysis standards. Experience with thermal-aerodynamic-structural interactions. Software development experience using Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or Java. Experience supporting UAV, missile, CubeSat, spacecraft, or launch vehicle programs.
