•100% onsite Position Overview The Mid-level Agile Modeling & Simulation Engineer applies foundational engineering skills, model taxonomy knowledge, and technical documentation abilities to support digital engineering execution. Working as part of an integrated modeling team, this position updates system configurations, maintains data standards within models, and tracks technical tasks across short-interval sprint intervals to enable rapid capability delivery.
Core Responsibilities Hands-on Model Implementation:
Modifies and expands active SysML system models under the guidance of senior architects, ensuring changes adhere to established design guidelines.
Taxonomy & Data Cleanup:
Assists in applying approved modeling ontologies, data standards, and standard taxonomies to incoming data structures to preserve overall architecture cleanliness.
Administrative Reporting Support:
Compiles system metrics, tracks validation criteria progress, and gathers baseline information to support the monthly orchestration of the MBSE Governance Posture Report.
JIRA & Confluence Compliance:
Fully participates in daily stand-ups and pure Agile engineering ceremonies on a fixed two-week sprint cadence. Uses JIRA daily to maintain task status and logs modeling baseline changes in Confluence.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Technical Expertise:
Experience performing core systems engineering tasks, verifying technical requirements, and reading/modifying basic SysML diagrams. Practical, working knowledge of basic MBSE tools, database structures, or code repositories.
Clearance & Compliance:
Active TS/SCI security clearance for 100% on-site support at Wright-Patterson AFB. Familiarity with fundamental DoD IT architecture and system security guidelines.

NASIC experience highly desired, not mandatory.
