What We Are Looking For:
This Avionics Systems Engineer role supports one of the world's leading aerospace customers on Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS) and Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) applications. We're looking for a Systems Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Avionics Systems Engineering, with full life-cycle experience on avionics embedded systems or software. This role decomposes and traces customer requirements to system-level requirements within DOORs, performs formal requirements reviews, and supports System Safety Assessment (SSA) activities in accordance with ARP4761. This position is hybrid, 2-3 days onsite in Phoenix, AZ 85027, with relocation assistance available; there is no remote option for this role. U.S. Citizenship is required.
What You Will Do:
Decompose and trace customer requirements to high-level system requirements within DOORs. Perform formal reviews of system requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional hardware/software integration teams. Support system validation, verification testing, and certification activities. Support System Safety Assessment (SSA) activities in accordance with ARP4761. What We Require:
5+ years of Systems Engineering experience in Avionics for aircraft and/or spacecraft systems Full life-cycle experience on avionics embedded systems or software for equivalent airborne systems Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science Experience analyzing and decomposing requirements in DOORs or equivalent requirements management databases Experience developing low-level embedded systems for TCAS, transponders, ACAS, ADS-B, or other CNS applications Working knowledge of DO-178C processes and standards U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred:
Business jet or military avionics experience (CNS products/applications) Experience with aircraft wiring diagrams and modified inputs across systems to support flight tests Experience building tools to support flight test campaigns Experience integrating avionics functionality across Displays, FMS, Flight Controls, Datalink, Radios, Surveillance, and Navigation A bit about us: - We're a global engineering services provider supporting one of the world's leading aerospace customers on safety-critical avionics programs.
