Job Description Seeking a senior systems engineer/Systems Architect to support the development and architecture of advanced avionics systems. This role requires direct experience supporting airborne surveillance and collision avoidance technologies, including
ACAS , TCAS , ADS
-B, or closely related surveillance systems for a
COMMERCIAL
Aviation company.
Location:
Preference is Phoenix, AZ (Open to St. Pete or Grand Rapids, MI) Open to remote for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architectural definition and design of future avionics surveillance and collision avoidance technologies such as
TCAS , ACAS , ADS -B
capabilities and products. Define system requirements and develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Collaborate with the FAA and other certification authorities to define new specifications and regulatory requirements for these technologies. Ensure regulatory compliance with standards such as ARP 4754 and DO-178. Architect and integrate transponder/ ADS -B systems, considering both ADS -B In and ACAS technologies. Develop new applications utilizing
ACAS , ADS -B
technologies for both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles. Work directly with OEMs and customers to understand needs, gather requirements, and integrate solutions.
