Job Description
Job Title:
Senior Software Quality / SQA Engineer (Aerospace or Avionics)
Location:
Fort Worth, TX — 100% onsite
Length:
12 months
Schedule:
9/80 — M-F long week, M-Th short week
Pay:
$60/hr-$82/hr all-in rate (depending on experience)
Eligibility:
U.S. Citizen or Green Card only; W2 only Looking for a Senior Software Quality / SQA Engineer from aerospace or avionics who has worked under DO-178C and understands the embedded software development lifecycle well enough to audit engineering teams and their work products.
This is more of software quality/process assurance work than software testing or traditional QA.
Must-Have Skills:
DO-178
C:
Should have extensive hands-on experience Embedded aviation/avionics software lifecycle experience: Should understand development from planning/requirements through design, implementation, verification, release, and certification artifacts.
Formal process/product auditing:
Should have audited engineering work products and processes for compliance. 7+ years in software, systems, or quality engineering : Ideally with a BS/MS in CS, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
Strong plus:
DO-254 hardware assurance and DO-330 tool qualification. U.S. Citizen or Green Card only; W2 only
Pay:
$60.00 - $82.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Have you worked extensively under DO‑178C standards for avionics software? Can you provide examples of projects where you applied DO‑178C compliance? Do you have hands‑on experience with the embedded software development lifecycle (planning, requirements, design, implementation, verification, release, certification)? Have you reviewed or audited lifecycle artifacts for compliance? Do you have 7+ years of experience in software, systems, or quality engineering? Do you hold a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field? Have you conducted formal process or product audits of engineering teams and their work products? Are you a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder? Are you able to work on a W2 basis, 100% onsite in Fort Worth, TX?
