Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager specializing in Commercial Solar and Energy Storage projects. In this dynamic role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial -scale electrical and renewable energy projects. Your energetic approach will help drive project success from inception through completion, ensuring all phases adhere to technical standards, safety regulations, and budget parameters. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in electrical systems, construction management, and sustainable energy solutions within a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Assist in developing comprehensive project schedules using project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools to ensure timely project delivery. Collaborate with engineering teams to review construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints for accuracy and compliance with electrical building codes and NFPA 70 standards. Support the permitting phase by preparing documentation and coordinating with local authorities to secure necessary approvals. Participate in construction schedule coordination, tracking progress against milestones, and updating project timelines regularly. Review construction estimates, manage project budgets, and support cost management efforts to optimize resource allocation. Aid in managing contracts and project documentation, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and records are maintained accurately. Contribute to electrical system design reviews, schematic analysis, and system design improvements for solar and energy storage installations. Assist with construction site visits to monitor safety compliance, quality standards, and adherence to electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code). Support project team leadership by facilitating communication among stakeholders, managing project documentation, and ensuring efficient project execution. Engage in the permitting process by preparing necessary documentation for regulatory approval while maintaining NFPA 70 compliance throughout all phases of construction. Experience Proven experience in construction management or electrical project management within the renewable energy or electrical infrastructure sectors. Hands-on experience reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings with an understanding of electrical systems design. Knowledge of electrical building codes including NEC regulations and NFPA 70 standards relevant to solar energy systems and energy storage solutions. Strong understanding of permitting processes related to renewable energy projects and experience working with local authorities during the permitting phase. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across different phases of construction projects while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and budget adherence. Excellent time management skills paired with effective communication abilities to support team leadership and client relationships.
