The technician is responsible for the collection, assessment, and initial analysis of remote device data, as well as troubleshooting and coordinating care for patients based on device transmissions. This position requires close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and clinical coordinators to ensure timely follow-up and management of patients' device-related concerns.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while reviewing data or troubleshooting devices. Occasional lifting or carrying of monitoring equipment or related materials (up to 20 lbs). Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, reviewing data and entering documentation.

Additional Requirements:

Must be comfortable using and troubleshooting medical device software and hardware. Willingness to adapt to new technologies and practices as remote monitoring and device management evolve. Ability to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate patient needs or device transmission schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Remote Data Management:

o Monitor and review incoming data from cardiac devices, ensuring accurate capture and timely transmission. o Assess transmitted device data for clinically significant events (e.g., arrhythmias, device malfunctions) and prioritize them based on severity, following established triage protocols. o Flag alerts requiring physician review and document relevant findings within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. o Assist with the remote troubleshooting of device-related issues, including transmission problems or device irregularities, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate clinical staff or physician.

Device Maintenance and Technical Support:

o Ensure that patients' remote monitoring devices are correctly programmed and functioning, offering remote troubleshooting assistance as needed. o Troubleshoot technical issues related to device communication, including hardware and software problems, working closely with device manufacturers and IT support as needed. o Provide basic technical support to patients, helping them understand device functions and troubleshoot any difficulties with their home monitoring equipment.

Patient Interaction and Support:
