Description :
Provides assistance and expertise in various areas of research such as preparation of results for presentation, monitoring test subjects, gathering and entering data, ensuring adherence to procedures, and basic analyses of data. 1. Ensures experiments are performed according to specifications. 2. May make practical recommendations to changes in procedures as appropriate. 3. Applies advanced skills. 4. Varied and Non standardized duties. 5. Performs advanced functions and copes independently with new or complex situations. 6. Receives minimal supervision. May orient, guide and/or train employees. The Cardiovascular Tissue Engineering Laboratory focuses on developing models to investigate heart disease mechanisms. Our lab's goals are to explore the mechanisms of heart disease, design and build new technology platforms to assist in drug and mechanistic studies to produce important new insights into these mechanisms, and to bring a standard of excellence to all that we do as individual scientists and as a research team. The ideal candidate will have a background in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry or related fields. Experience with rodent models is a plus. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
