Job Description
Leidos' Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis Department is seeking a Mobile Radar Mechanical Designer to join our team in Huntsville Alabama designing the next generation of sensors to protect America and its allies. You will perform mechanical design of the Army Long-range Persistent Surveillance-Mobile (ALPS-M) product. As a member of the design team, you will use SolidWorks CAD software and Windchill PLM software daily to turn ideas into concepts, mature those designs, and create drawings for manufacturing and integration. This role requires a strong technical contributor, proficient in applying mechanical design principles and modeling practices for sheet metal parts, machined components, welded structures, and bolted assemblies. You will be responsible for developing CAD designs and drawings that satisfy technical requirements through collaborating with other members of the mechanical design team.
