HVAC/PLUMBING DESIGNER DRAFTER TUCSON
Job Description
Position Summary:
Candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings, plans, and designs for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This role supports engineers and project managers by producing accurate design documents that ensure systems meet project specifications, building codes, and energy efficiency standards.Basic Duties:
Prepare and update HVAC and plumbing system drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD or BIM software. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop system designs and ensure constructability. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to coordinate HVAC and plumbing layouts with other building systems.Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years experience in HVAC and plumbing design or drafter, preferably in construction or consulting environments. Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and MS office software. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings. Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills. Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects. A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of building cooling/heating load calculation software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane Trace). Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
