CAD Operator/Drafter

Established Fire Protection Company seeks an individual to join our CAD department. Transbay Fire Protection, Inc. has been in business for almost 40 years, and we are looking to grow our CAD Detailer department. We are seeking a full-time, Entry to intermediate level CAD operator who is self motivated, learns quickly, and team oriented. The individual should possess some knowledge of AIA standards, be familiar with layer management, and have thorough knowledge of AutoCAD 2016 or above. The individual should have some knowledge of construction, but it is not required. The ideal candidate would be one with a few years of CAD experience & able to manage multiple tasks well. The job position entails working with the Project Manager and design team members to convert drawings to AutoCAD format, from MEPCAD. The individual should be familiar with layer and block translation and CAD audit processes, for adherence to job specific CAD Standards criteria. The individual will also be operating Autodesk Navis, & Autodesk Revit software to coordinate BIM content with other MEP systems. AutoSPRINK will be the primary software utilized by CAD Detailers. New hires will receive paid online training for AutoSPRINK. No prior AutoSPRINK experience is necessary. CAD Operators will assist on preparing plans for a verity type of projects, which may include reviewing specifications & details.
