Working knowledge and experience with CNC lathe, mill, press brake and laser is preferred but not necessary. This position requires the skills to manage time, pay attention to detail and communicate effectively to a larger group of people. Skills Required Proven track record with SolidWorks and most common CAM software CNC Programming for 2-axis Lathes, 3+1-axis Mills, and Amada Laser & Press Brake is preferred Proper setup of manual and CNC machinery Create blueprints, drawings, sketches, diagrams; working from a current curriculum, create lay outs, sets up and fabricates precision parts, tooling and determine tooling feeds and speeds on lathes, mills and other production equipment. Experience with manual machine tools such as lathe and mill Must have a well-rounded knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques, tools and equipment, materials and shop equipment Must know the working properties of a wide variety of materials including steel, aluminum and stainless. Identify gases used during laser cutting operation Must be proficient in the use of all types of gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc. Normal hand tools for machinists. Drills, taps etc. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required Ability to train apprentice level personnel Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills; Share expertise with others. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma / GED Preferred 5-years' experience with
CAD / CAM
software (SolidWorks) Preferred 5-years' experience working in a hands-on shop environment Must speak, read and write fluently in English Open communication skills; able to work in teams What's In It For You- Vacation/PTO
