Full Job Description Job Summary:

B.I.G. is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter/Designer to join our dynamic team. The Drafter/Designer will play a critical role in the design and development process. The Drafter/Designer will create precise technical drawings and plans, utilizing industry-standard software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This position will work closely with production, engineering, scheduling, and purchasing. We are looking to add a professional with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and diverse drafting and design experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and revise detailed manufacturing drawings and BOM using CAD Software
• Create and revise architectural elevations and floor plans for client approval
• Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and version control
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to clarify design requirements and resolve design issues
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and drafting standards
• Must be able to multitask and handle several projects in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail is critical
• Revise existing drawings based on feedback from the design team
• Assist with design modifications throughout the project lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or related field
• 5 years' experience in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar
• Strong understanding of drafting standards, technical documentation, and revision control
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
• The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• The ideal candidate will also have experience with the International Building and Energy codes.

Pay:

From $66,000.00 per year
