What you'll do Design pipe skids: structural frames, piping layout, supports, brackets, and sheet metal components Design manufactured parts for fabrication, both repeatable standards and job-specific one-offs Produce and maintain current-revision drawings: general arrangement, construction, and fabrication drawings Set up, administer, and maintain
Autodesk Vault:
file structure, naming, revision control, permissions, and library standards Identify and build AI-assisted workflows that cut repetitive CAD and data entry work: drawing automation, BOM generation, part reuse, spec extraction from submittals Create manufactured part items and build BOMs in Fulcrum, our ERP Add routing steps (laser cut, bend, weld, assembly) with estimated times and clear instructions the shop can follow Add required raw material to the BOM so it can be picked Apply Wilsenergy part nomenclature: standard part numbers for repeatable parts, job-specific numbers for one-offs Attend job release meetings and walk the BOM and routing through with engineering, production, and purchasing Document open items and hold-ups in monday.com so nothing stalls silently Handle redlines and revision requests from the floor, and update drawings and BOMs accordingly What we're looking for 3+ years of CAD experience in sheet metal, weldments, or structural fabrication Strong AutoCAD skills and comfort in a controlled .dwg revision environment Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining Autodesk Vault or a comparable PDM system, not just working inside one someone else built Practical experience applying AI tools to engineering or design work, and the judgment to know where automation helps and where it doesn't Working knowledge of how parts get made: laser cutting, forming, brake limits, bend allowance, weld prep, standard hardware Ability to look at a design and know whether the shop can build it Ability to read and interpret submittals, equipment drawings, and customer specs, and to ask the right question when something doesn't add up Comfort working inside an ERP for BOMs and routings, not just drawing files Willingness to talk to fabricators directly. Most problems here get solved in a two-minute conversation on the floor Piping or skid design experience, including pipe sizing, fittings, valves, and support layout Familiarity with pipe spools, flanges, and weld symbols 3D modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks Prior use of Fulcrum or a similar manufacturingERP Pay:
