Job Description
Entry-Level CAD Designer - Commercial Real Estate Southern California Property Management Company, Full-Time About the Position We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level CAD Designer to create, update, and maintain floorplans for commercial office properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic AutoCAD experience who wants to develop practical skills in commercial real estate, space planning, and property management. Responsibilities Create and update commercial office floorplans using AutoCAD. Modify existing drawings to reflect tenant improvements, suite configurations, walls, doors, offices, and common areas. Prepare accurate tenant suite and leasing plans. Incorporate field measurements, sketches, PDFs, and architectural drawings into CAD plans. Verify dimensions, square footage, and existing conditions. Maintain organized CAD files, drawing revisions, and floorplan records. Assist with test-fit plans and space-planning concepts for prospective tenants. Coordinate with property managers, leasing personnel, contractors, and other vendors. Occasionally visit properties to verify existing conditions and take measurements. Perform other drafting and property-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to read and understand architectural floorplans. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. CAD certificate, degree, or coursework in drafting, architecture, interior design, or a related field is preferred. Commercial real estate or architectural drafting experience is helpful but not required .
