Job Description
Mile High Metal Works, Inc. is a family-owned and operated company located in Frederick, Colorado that has been serving the Denver Metro and surrounding states since 1998. We are committed to quality craftsmanship, productive working relationships, excellence in our field, and safety with customer satisfaction being our primary goal. We are seeking an entry level/skilled detail/drafter to develop shop drawings for miscellaneous metals and structural steel. What You'll Do - Responsible for reviewing and interpreting architectural, structural, and landscape drawings for scope specific items. Responsible for using field measurements and 3D point-cloud scans provided by project managers to adjust drawings for site conditions. Responsible for ensuring a professional appearance on all drawings. Required to accurately capture markups and red lines assigned by the project lead and customer. Responsible for accurate back check of individual work against markups and redlined documents. Establish working relationships to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Collaborate with project leads and other departments to determine effective approaches for design efficiency Required to learn Mile High Metal Works, Inc. and client-specific drafting standards. Accountable to immediate supervisor for receiving tasks. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project. Demonstrate ability to communicate technical and administrative project/task details, including correspondence via e-mails, general documentation, and during regular project meetings. Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, and supporting documents. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Work Schedule This position follows a 40-hour weekly schedule, beginning at 6:00 a.m. Employees work four 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday and one 4-hour shift on Friday. What You'll Bring -
