Job Description

CAD Designer -
SolidWorks Job Title:
CAD Design We have an immediate need for a motivated, self-starting CAD Designer to join our Team. In this position you will assist senior engineers with the creation and development of product designs, using SolidWorks to draft technical drawings and models. Key responsibilities include conducting basic analysis and research, preparing documentation, collaborating with teams, and ensuring designs meet industry standards and project requirements. This position focuses on learning and supporting the product.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Blueprint reading ability Knowledge and understanding of GD&T, a plus but not required for the position Hands-on type person, who also has the ability to communicate efficiently and provide assistance Technical knowledge: Familiarity with design principles, materials helpful but not required, and manufacturing processes helpful but not required.
Soft skills:
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail:
A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in designs and documentation.
Software proficiency:
Experience with SolidWorks and other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visualize) and basic office programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Design and drafting: Create detailed 2D and 3D designs, drawings, and models using SolidWorks.
Analysis and research:
Conduct basic analysis, simulations, and feasibility studies to evaluate design concepts and performance.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including blueprints, specifications, and related design documentation.
Collaboration:
Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to refine designs and gather necessary information.
Compliance:
Ensure that designs meet relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality objectives.
Problem-solving:
Help troubleshoot product issues and contribute to finding effective, long-term solutions.
Please note:
5+ years SolidWorks Experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and twist as required to perform job duties.
Wage Range/Hours of Work:
$23 to $28 (Negotiable pending experience) Hourly Position Full-Time, Min. 45 Hour Work Week. Monday thru Friday, Sat if
