If you enjoy hands-on building, working with your hands, and seeing your work come to life, you'll thrive here. www.experiencepinpoint.com Position Summary Pinpoint is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Production Designer responsible for translating creative concepts into production-ready files, technical drawings, and fabrication documentation. This role serves as the critical link between design, project management, print production, and fabrication teams. Projects may include large-format printing, custom fabrication, woodworking, metalwork, dimensional signage, experiential activations, and branded environments. The ideal candidate possesses both creative and technical aptitude, understands manufacturing processes, and can develop accurate, efficient solutions that support successful project execution. This position plays a key role in preparing print-ready files, creating cut paths, engineering fabrication drawings, and optimizing projects for manufacturability, material usage, and production efficiency. The Technical Production Designer regularly collaborates with print production and fabrication teams and works between office and production environments to validate designs, evaluate materials, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure projects can be efficiently manufactured and assembled. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review, engineer, and create technical files for print production and fabrication projects while ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and ease of assembly. Create and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models, production drawings, and technical documentation. Develop shop drawing packages including bills of materials, assembly instructions, specifications, and production details. Prepare production-ready artwork, including preflighting files and cut paths. Collaborate with designers, project managers, fabrication personnel, and production teams. Apply knowledge of CNC routers, printers, laser cutters, and related production technologies. Recommend materials, construction approaches, and production methods that improve quality and efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, material utilization, and fabrication processes. Review designs and specifications for practicality, manufacturability, and potential production challenges before fabrication begins. Candidate Profile Who You Are You are a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys turning creative concepts into buildable, production-ready solutions. You possess a strong combination of technical expertise, creative thinking, and practical problem-solving skills. You take pride in accuracy, collaboration, and developing technical documentation that helps projects move efficiently from concept through production and fabrication. Experience & Expertise 4+ years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Dimensions, and related engineering software. Strong understanding of technical file preparation, print production, fabrication requirements, and technical documentation. Background in engineering, woodworking, industrial design, print production, signage, or fabrication preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout office and production environments. Ability to occasionally lift and carry samples, materials, or project components up to 25 pounds.
