We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter with a strong background in custom architectural millwork, cabinetry, and detailed shop drawings . This is not a repetitive or standard drafting position. Our projects are highly customized and often involve complex architectural details, unusual conditions, one-of-a-kind cabinetry, integrated materials, and design challenges that require creative problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking . The ideal candidate must be able to take architectural drawings, designer concepts, field measurements, specifications, and client requirements and translate them into accurate, buildable shop drawings for fabrication and installation. Responsibilities Produce detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for high-end custom cabinetry and architectural millwork Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings Interpret architectural and interior design drawings and specifications Resolve complex design and fabrication conditions Develop practical solutions when standard construction methods do not apply Coordinate dimensions, materials, hardware, appliances, lighting, stone, metal, glass, and other integrated elements Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, clearances, and installation requirements Incorporate field measurements and site conditions into drawings Revise drawings based on architect, designer, client, production, and project-management comments Work closely with project managers, production staff, installers, designers, and architects Identify potential fabrication or installation issues before drawings are released to production Required Experience Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Previous experience preparing shop drawings for custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, or high-end interior construction Strong understanding of cabinetry and millwork construction methods Ability to read architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and specifications Excellent dimensional and spatial understanding Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to independently analyze complicated conditions and develop workable solutions The Right Candidate We are looking for someone who does more than simply draw what is shown. Our drafter must be able to think through how something will actually be built, assembled, transported, and installed . Many of our projects do not have an obvious or standard solution, so the ability to think creatively, anticipate problems, and develop practical construction details is essential. If your experience is primarily basic drafting or repetitive production drawings, this position may not be the right fit. We are specifically looking for someone comfortable working on complex, highly customized millwork projects where every project can present a different challenge .

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
