Apopka, FL Job Summary We are seeking a precise and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to transform rough sketches, notes, and specifications into high-quality technical drawings. The ideal candidate will create accurate 2D layouts and 3D models using industry-standard software. You will collaborate closely with our construction teams to ensure compliance with structural, manufacturing, and regulatory codes.Core Responsibilities Develop Drawings:
Create detailed 2D schematics, elevations, and 3D models using [AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Revit].Review Specifications:
Interpret rough sketches, engineering notes, and redlines to build functional plans.Collaborate Daily:
Partner with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify design intent.Ensure Quality:
Check technical dimensions, materials, and tolerances to eliminate costly errors.Maintain Standards:
Standardize layers, line weights, styles, and sheet sets across project files.Manage Revisions:
Update existing drawing packages promptly to capture approved field or client changes.Organize Libraries:
Archive and manage drawing files within [BIM / PLM
/ internal file sharing] databases.Required Skills & Qualifications Software Fluency:
Mastery of [AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation] is required.Spatial Reasoning:
Strong ability to visualize complex 3D structures and translate them into 2D plans.Code Literacy:
Thorough understanding of drafting conventions and [ASME / ANSI

Proficiency in geometric calculations, dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T). Attention toDetail:

Capability to manage project deadlines across multiple tasks simultaneously.Education & Experience Requirements Education:
Associate degree, technical certificate, or diploma in Drafting, CAD Design, or a related field.Experience:
[2-5] years of professional drafting experience in a [manufacturing/construction/engineering] environment.Portfolio:
A portfolio of 3 to 5 samples showing real-world technical drawing expertise is highly preferred.Optional Certification:
Professional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) or software-specific Autodesk badges is a plus.
