Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing precise mechanical designs, creating detailed CAD documentation, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative projects to life. Your expertise in mechanical systems, 3D modeling, and CAD software will be essential in delivering high-quality design solutions that meet project specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development and system design initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Design trailers / transporters according to specifications and test data, in conformity with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
- Using KeyCreator, create CAD drawings and models of parts and assemblies.
- Support Engineering personnel with creating manufacturing instructions & build plans.
- Produce detailed designs and cut lists of trailers using drawings and 3D modeling software.
- Provide the Purchasing department with CAD drawings and models needed for outsourced services.
- Occasionally source components, equipment and materials needed for the job.
- Assist with 3D scanning of boat hulls Create, design, engineer and implement product improvements Experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings.
- Relevant boat hull design work experience helpful but not required.
- Ability to follow Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) guidelines.
- Working Knowledge of engineering and design software o KeyCreator, SolidWorks, or equivalent o
FARO SCENE
& Geomagic Wrap a plus- Working knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel o Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate understanding of pivot tables and lookups. o Advanced excel; VBA and macros a plus

- Office is in Bradenton Florida, must be willing to relocate and/or make the commute.
Travel:
<10%- Required Minimum of 5 years working experience as a drafter or mechanical designer in the marine, semi or utility trailer sectors Education
- Associate degree in Computer Aided Drawingand Design
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is a plus
