This position will prepare and update AutoCAD drawings and assist with permit applications and submissions for erosion control and construction projects. The position will also include field work, such as collecting measurements, project verification and closed-out, verification of existing data, and inspections. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with AutoCAD, and able to work with engineers, estimators, project managers, and permitting agencies. Responsibilities Prepare and update construction and erosion control plans using AutoCAD. Turn designs, sketches, and instructions from engineers and management into clear plan drawings. Assist with preparing permit applications and plan packages. Upload and submit plans and documents to permitting agencies. Follow up on submitted permits and respond to requests for additional information. Maintain project and permitting files. Review drawings and documents for accuracy and completeness. Assist the Engineering Department with administrative and project-related tasks. Communicate with engineers, project staff, clients, and permitting agencies as needed. Out-of-town travel may be needed. Work overtime when needed. Requirements Complete or In-Progress bachelor's degree in engineering. Previous work experience as an AutoCAD Drafter. Knowledge of AutoCAD software, Civil 3D is preferred. Previous drafting, permitting, or construction experience preferred. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email. Strong attention to detail and organization. Good communication skills. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong ability to follow instructions and apply practical judgment. One to two years' related experience in the building industry is preferred. Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
