We provide consulting services in water resources and civil engineering to government agencies. We assist communities in developing, prioritizing, and implementing Capital Improvement Programs that emphasize multi-objective management solutions for their watersheds and built environment. You will design and prepare complete and accurate working plans, charts, scale drawings and revisions for complex civil engineering projects, integrating skilled engineering drafting methods and procedures with the operation and application of Computer Aided Design (CAD) Civil 3D. You will be working with Project Managers and assisting in the development of construction plans and specifications as well as permitting. You will work with indirect supervision and a strong understanding of civil engineering design concepts. Our designers are also engaged in construction site observation, technical specifications, and reviews. A candidate for this position will be able to: Communicate with tact and diplomacy, both orally and in writing, using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Manage production of multiple drawings and multiple projects at the same time. Read and interpret complex engineering plans and specifications. Use good judgment to identify alternatives to assist in the resolution of design problems. Manage time and workload efficiently which includes planning, organizing, prioritizing, and following-through on a variety of tasks, projects, assignments, and reports to meet deadlines. Work well with others under rushed deadline situations and be willing to work overtime. Be self-motivated and work independently.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent At least five years of experience in a related field and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required. Experience developing construction documents in land development or public civil plans from preliminary through final design required. Experience in site design, site development plans, field surveys, utility design, storm-water management, erosion & sediment control, grading plans, and roadway design preferred.
