Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication documents for structural steel projects using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD 2D. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection practices, industry standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and clients. Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
• Produce fabrication shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings.
• Generate bills of materials, CNC data, and fabrication reports.
• Interpret structural and architectural contract documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, fabricators, and contractors to resolve design and detailing issues.
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness and constructability.
• Incorporate project revisions and maintain drawing control.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, AISC standards, and company detailing procedures.
• Participate in coordination meetings and project reviews.
• Assist with connection design coordination as required. Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years of structural steel detailing experience.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D.
• Strong understanding of: o Structural steel fabrication processes o Shop and erection drawing preparation o AISC Manual o Steel connection concepts o Structural and architectural drawings
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction documents.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience detailing: o Commercial buildings o Institutional buildings o Industrial structures o Miscellaneous metals (stairs, railings, ladders, platforms)
• Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Solid Tekla Structures Experience preferred. Required Technical Skills

$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
