Job Description

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for an AutoCAD Drafter in the Kennesaw, GA Responsibilities & Duties Analyze architectural construction plans, structural blueprints, and field measurements to develop precise staircase layouts. Produce detailed 2D shop drawings and comprehensive 3D models for custom residential and commercial stair systems. Quickly learn, adapt to, and master proprietary stair-design software alongside standard CAD tools. Collaborate directly with fabricators, project managers, and field installers to resolve design conflicts and clarify specifications. Generate accurate material takeoff lists and manufacturing cut lists. Revise drawings efficiently based on client feedback, architect markups, and engineering requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements Construction Experience:
Direct hands-on or industry experience in construction is required .
Plan Reading:
Hands-on experience reading, interpreting, and working directly with complex construction plans, structural blueprints, and site specifications.
AutoCAD Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for both 2D drafting and 3D modeling is strictly required. 3
D Visualization:
Demonstrated ability to convert 2D architectural plans into clear, accurate 3D renderings and structural assemblies.
Software Adaptability:
Proven track record of easily adapting to and adopting new technical design software and plugins.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Drafting/Design Technology is preferred but not required (strong practical experience will be heavily considered).
