Overview Join our team as an AutoCAD Drafter and become a vital contributor to innovative sawmill design projects . In this role, you'll harness your expertise in CAD software and 3D modeling tools to create precise, detailed drawings and schematics that bring equipment to life. Your work will support project development from conceptual sketches to construction documentation, ensuring quality compliance and high-quality deliverables. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your drafting skills while collaborating with talented professionals dedicated to excellence. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD. Interpret engineering, architectural, and construction specifications and incorporate them into drawings. Revise and update drawings based on feedback Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Maintain drawing records, documentation, and version control. Conduct quality checks of parts and equipment to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of drawings. Collaborate with project team to resolve design and drafting issues. Create bills of materials (BOMs), layouts, and supporting documentation as needed. Assist with site surveys and field measurements when required. Manage multiple drafting projects while meeting established deadlines. Required Qualifications Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred or 3+ years of drafting experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD software. Strong understanding of drafting principles, technical drawing standards, and document control practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural, and construction drawings. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD Product Design and Manufacturing Collection including Inventor or other CAD software. Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments. Knowledge and ability to learn relevant industry codes and standards. $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
