Come Join Our Team as a Mechanical Drafter/Designer at DC Engineering! DC Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer with strong AutoCAD and/or Revit experience to support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. In this role, you'll work closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary design teams to develop construction documents, 3D models, and detailed design drawings. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to challenging projects in a fast-paced environment where quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued. Position Responsibilities Develop and modify HVAC and plumbing design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Create construction documents, plans, schedules, details, and equipment layouts. Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers and other disciplines. Assist in maintaining drafting standards and quality control procedures. Incorporate design revisions and project updates into drawing packages. Support project teams in meeting deadlines and client expectations. We're seeking a motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager to learn and grow.
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of mechanical drafting/design experience in the A/E/C industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit experience strongly preferred. Experience preparing HVAC and plumbing construction documents. Strong understanding of building systems, construction drawings, and drafting standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and sketches. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications. A collaborative, proactive, and client-focused approach.
