Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your expertise in programming and precision measuring instruments will be essential in producing accurate and high-quality designs. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using Solidworks
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements
  • Create technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for manufacturing processes
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, to ensure accuracy of designs
  • Program CNC machines to produce prototypes and final products
  • Perform quality checks on completed designs to identify any errors or discrepancies
  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure proper fit and function of components
  • Maintain organized documentation of design files and revisions
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Solidworks
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
  • Experience with programming CNC machines is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control purposes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles for accurate dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise designs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot design issues
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
