Full job description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Engineering/Drafting professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and details that support our interior architectural woodwork/casework manufacturing. Your expertise will help translate complex concepts into clear, accurate visual representations, ensuring seamless communication between architects, project managers and fabricators. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge millwork projects while honing your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Duties:
Develop detailed drawings using CAD and Microvellum to engineer shop drawings. Create accurate shop drawings and architectural designs that meet project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise technical documentation. Assist in reviewing and updating existing drawings to reflect design changes or improvements throughout project phases. Ensure all drafting work adheres to safety regulations, AWI quality standards, and client requirements. Support project managers by providing detailed plans and technical guidance during project execution. Use engineering software and manual take off techniques to create accurate material lists for projects.
Skills :
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and Microvellum Strong understanding of woodworking design principles and drafting techniques. Experience creating millwork fabrication drawings, technical drawings, and construction documentation. Knowledge of construction processes and techniques and how drafting integrates into project workflows. Familiarity with woodwork engineering standards and industry best practices Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and fabricators. $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
