Job Description

This position is responsible for interpreting project details explained, sketched or inferred from design documents, photographs or other sources. This role will use AutoCAD and/or Inventor to produce isometric, 2-D, and 3-D drawings utilized in manufacturing as well as for the purpose of communicating joint layouts to contractors, architects and engineers. Drawings will be used to develop bills of materials and item parts for entry of orders into ERP system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Interpret blueprints, details, hand sketches and/or descriptions of project parameters in order to produce project specific models and drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor. Create project-specific product layouts and/or details for customer and/or shop review. Packages range from shop drawing submittals to manufacturing drawings utilized in our production process. Review and entry of engineered product orders into ERP system. Review team member's completed drawings and orders for quality control prior to submittal to customers and manufacturing team members. Make corrections as required, from customer provided mark-ups. Convert 3D drawings to REVIT (BIM) ready documents. Be able to assist with some aspects of design process. Assist in field work and/or site visits as needed. Collaborate with other departments as needed to accomplish various tasks. Your Skills and Experience AA degree required in Engineering, Architecture or related technical discipline, BS degree preferred. A minimum of two years' relevant work experience. Proficient with AutoCAD, Inventor, REVIT, Adobe Reader (PDF), Word, Excel. Strong multi-tasking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think and visualize in 3-D. Ability to work independently and in group projects. Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a "can do" and team-first attitude
Pay:
$32.00 - $40.00 per hour
