Auto Cad Specialist

Job Description

Job Summary Barks Road Landscape Architecture is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Auto Cad Specialist to join our team in Arnold, MD. If you have experience with Auto Cad, Adobe, Vectorworks, and other software suites we want to hear from you! In this role, you will leverage advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create precise, innovative, and comprehensive technical drawings and models. Your expertise will support project development from schematic design through construction documentation, ensuring adherence to building codes and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while honing your technical skills in a collaborative environment. Duties Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and other CAD software. Create accurate construction and landscaping detail documentation that aligns with project requirements and building code standards. Assist in schematic design development by translating conceptual ideas into precise digital representations. Conduct building code analysis to ensure designs meet local regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to review schematics, refine designs, and resolve technical issues. Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, 3ds Max, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Vector Works, Adobe Creative, and SolidWorks is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and construction experience enhances your ability to produce practical and compliant designs. Expertise in building code analysis and building code compliance ensures all projects meet regulatory standards. Skilled in 3D CAD modeling, BIM workflows, schematic development, drafting, and engineering CAD design. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across disciplines and presenting complex concepts clearly. A solid understanding of building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project delivery is preferred.
