Description Our client in the environmental consulting industry is looking for an Environmental CAD Designer to join their team near Bel Air, MD. You will use AutoCAD to create and revise plans for stormwater, erosion control, grading, stream, landfill, and public infrastructure projects. Candidates may come from a CAD drafting or design background; an engineering degree is not required. You must have AutoCAD experience in environmental consulting and have used it for at least one of the following: grading, erosion control, cut/fill, profiles, or cross-sections. This role combines office-based CAD work with field visits to document site conditions and collect project data, so a willingness and ability to perform field work based on active contract needs is required. This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience across environmental permitting, surveying, and construction inspection with a collaborative team. Environmental CAD Designer•Water Resources (AutoCAD exp. req.) Responsibilities Create and revise AutoCAD plan sets for environmental, water resources, and site/civil projects Draft grading, erosion control, cut/fill, profile, and cross-section details based on project needs Support stormwater, stream, landfill, and public infrastructure plans and documentation Support hydrologic, hydraulic, and open channel flow analyses Prepare and update drawings, details, sequencing plans, and permit packages Visit project sites to document conditions and collect field data Walk uneven terrain, streams, and wooded areas during site visits Review your own work for accuracy and ask questions when guidance is needed Environmental CAD Designer•Water Resources (AutoCAD exp. req.)
