This is not a remote position. Candidates who are not current with SolidWorks Sheet Metal Function will not be considered. Excellent Opportunity to join our team of craftsmen, in making custom metalwork, including custom furniture and artwork, with computerized state of the art equipment. We specialize in sheet metal fabrication. Check out our website to see what we do: fidlerfurniturecompany.com Fidler Furniture Company is looking for an experienced individual(s) that will: Have a minimum of three years' experience (currently using) with SolidWorks Sheet Metal Tools & AutoCAD. Experience with 3-D modeling/design. Be able to read and understand blueprints/CAD drawings. Be able to prepare detailed customer approval drawings and shop fabrication drawings. Must be efficient with a strong understanding and accuracy in using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Must be able to accurately create drawings from a model and also field-measured templates. Must be able to take instruction and work with a team. Must be able to do renderings. Graphics design experience is a plus.
Items to be drawn include:
Custom cooking hoods, commercial and residential kitchen counters and cabinetry, custom metal work, sculpture, railings, and other custom artwork items. This is not a training position. Applicants must be skilled in using SolidWorks Sheet Metal Function and be able to accurately and efficiently draw with the sheet metal tools in SolidWorks in a timely manner. Individual may be responsible for traveling to various cities around Michigan to meet with customers, measure, template for kitchens, and ensure the proper design of kitchen components. Must have a valid driver's license and have a dependable vehicle. Most job sites are in West Michigan and a few are on the east side of the state. It is of the utmost importance that this person has exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Other traits will include self-motivation, being team-oriented, having a high-energy level, the ability to understand drawings and blueprints, being dependable, trustworthy, and honest. A 90-day trial period is to be expected to ensure successful integration into the company. Starting pay is $25-27/hour based on experience for the first 90 days. Review of progress and pay assessment at the end of the 90-day trial. A typical workday would be M-F from 8:00 am
