CAD TECHNICIAN TRANSPORTATION SERVICE LINE
SAGINAW or
STANDISH, MI OFFICE POSITION SUMMARY
Spicer Group is seeking a qualified CAD Technician to join our Transportation Service Line. The Transportation CAD Technician will be responsible for assisting in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure such as roads, highways, and public transportation systems. They work closely with engineers and other professionals to ensure that transportation projects are completed efficiently and safely. Our CAD Technicians use cutting-edge technology and are an integral part of our project team by performing office and CAD-related activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create detailed drawings and models for transportation infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, and public transportation systems Completes detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications with written and verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs like AutoCAD or Microstation according to company standards Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings, and completes simple calculations with specific instructions Maintains neat and orderly work area, which will allow access to project information to other team members Special projects as directed by project manager, department head, or principals Support work for engineers and designers Performs drawing reproduction and/or filing duties Physical presence is an essential function of this job. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Completed High School Diploma or GED Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities Must be professional, creative, team-focused individual who works well with others in a team environment Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Associates degree, CAD Certification, or equivalent technical degree 2+ years of Computer Aided Drafting experience Knowledge of MDOT standards is a plus Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally Revit experience is a plus
