The Job:
CAD Technician We are currently recruiting an entry-level CAD Technician to support engineering, design, and project teams by creating and maintaining technical drawings. This role is a great fit for recent graduates who used CAD software in their coursework and are looking to apply those skills in a professional environment. You'll work closely with experienced team members, receive training, and gain hands-on exposure to real-world design and production projects. What You Will Be Doing as a
CAD Technician:
Create and revise technical drawings using CAD software Update existing drawings based on project changes or feedback Support engineers, designers, and project teams with drafting needs Organize and maintain drawing files and documentation Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency Assist with preparing layouts, schematics, and design details Follow company standards, guidelines, and documentation processes Communicate with team members to ensure project requirements are met
Our Ideal CAD Technican:
CAD proficiency: Hands-on experience using CAD software through coursework, internships, or projects Attention to detail: Ability to produce accurate drawings and catch inconsistencies
Organization:
Comfortable managing files, revisions, and documentation
Communication:
Able to ask questions, take feedback, and collaborate with team members
Problem-solving:
Willing to troubleshoot design issues and suggest improvements Willingness to learn: Motivated to build technical skills and grow within a professional setting Requirements Bachelor's degree in a field that included CAD coursework, such as: Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) Architecture Architectural Engineering Construction Management Design Engineering Industrial Design Drafting or Engineering Technology Or a closely related technical or design discipline Katapult Network is an equal opportunity employer and celebrates diversity in all of its forms.
