We specialize in placing talent within the Power, Renewable Energy, and Design/Build markets. We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to support engineering and design teams across a variety of infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to produce accurate technical drawings and project documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career looking to grow their technical skills while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects at a major design build firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, revise, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings based on engineering markups, sketches, and specifications Support design efforts for civil, utility, telecom, power generation, and surveying projects Develop plan sets including layouts, profiles, details, sections, and construction documents Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards Assist with model coordination and basic clash detection using digital design tools Manage drawing revisions, file organization, and document control throughout the project lifecycle Perform drawing quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency Assist with quantity takeoffs and project documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Associate degree in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, Surveying, or related technical program preferred High school diploma or equivalent required 0-5 years of CAD or drafting experience (internships, co-ops, and coursework considered) Exposure to civil, utilities, telecom, power, or surveying projects preferred Understanding of engineering drawing standards and basic design principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: AutoCAD Inventor MicroStation Revit Navisworks ArcGIS or other GIS tools Bluebeam SolidWorks Preferred Skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Strong communication skills and willingness to learn Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
