Job Description

PURPOSE:
The purpose of an AutoCAD Operator is to use computer-aided design software to create designs and schematics to manufacture products made by Colonial, LLC for display and branding. Demonstrate a considerate, friendly, and constructive attitude toward fellow employees. To follow all company guide lines and policies set forth by Colonial
LLC. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Knowledge of working with the Gerber CAD (computer-aided design) software. Creating and altering specifications developed by the design team for fabric pieces to be cut. Ongoing drawing focused collaboration with the Production Manager and design team. Management and organization of all Colonial, LLC CAD drawings. Work as part of a team in developing new products. Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages, and delivering them to the cutting department in a timely manner. Work with management to develop processes and product development strategies geared towards the continuous improvement of the Company. Systematically saving drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made. Manage a diverse set of projects while under specific time constraints. Understand and complete projects in a timely manner. Work close with sublimation department to complete schedules for cut orders. To follow all proper orders and instructions of and to give total cooperation to their Supervisor and management. To arrive at their departments and begin work on time. Perform the task given in the allotted hours for the work day. Work with production team and warehouse to help maintain inventory control of fabrics needed as well as sending back fabrics that have been used to put back into inventory on a weekly basis. To demonstrate a considerate, friendly, and constructive attitude toward fellow employees. Understanding that your job will change at regular intervals due to requirements needed Promote and maintain positive employee relations and activities Maintain a safe working environment Able to understand pattern making process Able to create and calculate fabric yields from spec sheets, emails and or other means.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Gerber CAD (computer-aided design) software Create accurate CAD drawings from specifications and verbal instructions Ability to seamlessly integrate and work with production and design team, to produce and alter drawings Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work in self-disciplined environment Well organized with good time management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to differentiate color and fabrics Ability to function with a quick turnaround time

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
