Role summary / purpose Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Key responsibilities Transform rough product designs into working CAD documents Review engineering drawings and designs for compliance with specifications and standards Plan and accomplish project goals independently Perform complex technical tasks Direct and lead the work of others as needed Requirements - education & experience Associate's degree in a related area 3-5 years of experience in the field or related area Required skills AutoCAD 3D modeling CAD design and documentation Knowledge of engineering standards and specifications Employment details - type, location, hours First two weeks fully onsite, then hybrid with 3 days per week in office.
