Full Job Description Overview Job Title:
CAD Operator IV Location:
Raleigh, NC, Hybrid, 3x a week in-office Contract duration: 12-month contract, possibility of extension or conversion
Description :
As a CAD Operator IV, you will be responsible for transforming rough product designs into precise, working CAD drawings that support high voltage substation projects. Your expertise will ensure that engineering designs adhere to strict specifications and standards, directly impacting the safety and reliability of our energy systems. This position offers a creative and autonomous work environment, where your judgment and experience will drive successful project outcomes. Responsibilities Transform initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Review engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Required Qualifications Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD/AutoDesk software. Strong experience in electrical or power system design, especially high voltage substations. Ability to interpret construction field revisions and incorporate them into CAD drawings. Familiarity with document management systems. Excellent attention to detail and adherence to engineering standards. Solid understanding of engineering drawings, design specifications, and standards. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
